Notice of Privacy Practices

YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US.

The first time you go to a doctor’s office or a hospital you should be offered a copy of their privacy practices – it is the law.  In this day and age of identity theft this is an important deal and you should feel comfortable that your private information is being safeguarded.  Please scroll to the bottom of this page to read our official Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) or click here for a downloadable copy.

WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

It means…

  • Our staff are trained in the best ways to keep your information private.

  • We take every measure within reason to protect you data electronically.

  • Your information is stored long term in a cloud based system operated by AthenaHealth one of the largest, and most prestigious providers of electronic record storage in the country.

  • Any paperwork you provide or we generate on your behalf is scanned into your electronic file.  Once the paper copies are no longer needed they are shredded on site by a professional document shredding company.

  • Every vendor we use has agreed to follow strict guidelines about how they use, disclose and dispose of your private information.

  • We do not collect your Social Security number unless required to do so by your insurance or you request that we do so.

  • In the office it is impossible to operate a truly sound proof environment however we use music and white noise machines in an effort to keep communications in the office from being overheard.
